The Church in Antioch sought out theological clarity and the result was peace as the church unified in the freedom provided of the Gospel. There is a tremendous amount that we as a church can take away from this period of church history but the most important thing that we need to understand is the roll of law in the life of a Christian. We have been saved by grace through faith and not through the observance of the law. This doesn’t mean that the law is useless or foolish but that it has been fulfilled and is no longer binding on us.
